Ed Ruibal, Owner
In 1985, Ed moved to Dallas and set up shop at the downtown Dallas Farmers Market. He’s come a long way from a small rental space to a 7-acre garden center. Ed moved his business from downtown Dallas to Keller in 2008.
Since 2008, Landscape Systems has become one of the top places in DFW to shop for plants, unique gifts, and landscape design. Ed and his wife Deana have 11 beautiful grandchildren and are very active in their church and community.
Brian Ruibal, Co-Owner
Throughout high school, Brian worked at Landscape Systems part-time and developed a passion for designing landscapes and helping customers achieve the yard of their dreams. He has now been designing award-winning landscapes for over 20 years. He is more than happy to help you figure out what is best for your yard by providing options and showing you around the garden center.
Brian supervises on-site construction on all of his projects and prepares cost estimates to fit your budget. Brian and his wife Melissa have 10 children and 4 dogs. They are actively involved in their church and also founded Rooted Well, which is a ministry committed to fostering displaced children in the local community.
Landen Ruibal, General Manager
Landen has been in the business since he could first walk, learning from his dad Brian and grandfather Ed. Landen is responsible for everything you see when you visit our nursery. From ordering the best color in the metroplex to the intricate organization of the yard, Landen is your guy.
While leading the team here at Landscape Systems, he also does designs and consultations for your home needs. Be sure to talk to Landen about your next project!
Tom Miller, Landscape Designer
Tom acquired his bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture at Texas Tech and his master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon. He enjoys creating outdoor spaces combining elements of plants, stone, wood and water. He endeavors to minimize landscape maintenance and water usage while utilizing evergreen, indigenous, and flowering plant materials.
He creatively incorporates topographic and drainage elements into landscape designs. He attempts to adapt historic landscape design elements into garden designs. Tom supervises on-site construction on all of his projects and creates designs to fit your budget. He has over 40 years of experience.
Ariel Ruibal, Landscape and Sales Manager
With 9+ years here, Ariel is now the landscape and sales manager, who manages outside landscape jobs and irrigation. Ariel, daughter of Brian and granddaughter of Ed, has fulfilled her dream to work with her family here at the nursery. She also manages the team of ladies in our home décor and gift shop department.
Ariel is a new mom of the cutest baby in Keller, Hazel. She’s the girl to talk to for custom home projects!
Hailey Ruibal, Administrative Assistant
Hailey joined the team two years ago and has now become our administrative assistant. She works closely with Ariel to help with consultations, billing, and crew management.
Hailey also has experience in sales, so she can help you with just about anything around here. Her organizational skills and commitment to exceptional customer service ensure your satisfaction.
Dylan Pepper, Lead Furniture Maker
Dylan is the craftsman behind every piece of live edge furniture we create. His expertise in woodworking, epoxy, resin, stain and varnish is unmatched; as is his dedication to constantly learning more and more about his craft, and it shows in all he creates.
Tanner Heemsbergen, Yard Manager
Tanner is the hands-on yard manager, who oversees all outdoor operations. From managing inventory and equipment to supervising maintenance crews, he ensures that our yard runs smoothly and efficiently.
He specializes in machinery operations and works closely with Landen on organizational systems and team management. He has a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
Helen Miller, Gift Shop Manager
Helen is the gift shop manager. She loves setting up beautiful displays and design both in our gift shop and in all areas of your home. You’ll recognize her easily with her distinctive British accent!
Our Sales Team
With 25 years of combined experience, you can count on our knowledgeable sales staff to answer all your questions and help you with selections.
Nathan Rixe, Sales Associate
Nathan has worked here since 2018 and specializes in trees and shrubs. He is a landscape designer who can come out to your home for a consultation! He does the majority of plant purchasing here at our yard. So, if you have questions about plants or need help finding the right landscaping, be sure to ask Nathan.
Lewis Thomas, Sales Associate
Louis, otherwise known as Bubba, is a sales associate who has been here at Landscape Systems for 3+ years with incredible customer service. Bubba specializes in custom pots, making you laugh, and providing outstanding landscape advice. He is dedicated to helping you beautify your landscape with a smile.
Sydney Lemon, Sales Associate
Sydney is one of our newest sales associates with 4 years of prior experience in hardware and feed supply and 6+ years in customer service. She specializes in grass, weeds, and insect or disease control. She always greets you with a smile and loves getting to know our customers. Stop by and meet Sydney today!
Mascots, Theo, Ty, Travis, and Draco
Keeping up with the tradition that began 11 years ago with our beloved English lab Kobe, who passed away early in 2020, Landscape Systems now has 3 English labs and a new member, a Great Pyrenees-Husky Mix.
Theo, Ty, Travis, and Draco are cousins, and these pups are here every single day. You’ll see them greeting customers, playing, and napping.
